In my recent post, the replies I've made aren't threading under their author's comment. No idea why. I've opened a support request; I'm just letting people know that, if you haven't gotten a notification of a response from me--maybe I made one, and it didn't register as being "to you."
Apparently I am insufficiently geeky on the topic of tarot cards. Can you help me identify this deck? ( Cut for length. ) 13 comments | post a comment
I barely ever watch TV. I read the newspapers on the intarwebz. I listen to the radio. Yesterday, however, I watched the Redskins game (EPIC FAIL!) and part of the RNC whilst hanging with sophistbastard and osym at an Irish pub. Because really, what goes better with football and politics than booze and snark? Would Wonkette even exist if politics didn't go hand in hand with booze and snark? The football game was spectacularly bad for the Redskins. I mean, I was impressed with how badly it went for them. What the hell? Were the pro players somehow replaced by my high school team or something? Osym and I entertained ourselves through the game by noting the tight pants (athletic men in tight pants... mmm), homoerotic overtones, and referee hand signals. Oh sure, you think you know the signals now. You are wrong.
Yea, verily, it was truly Raining Men. Complaint: Even in Irish pubs, and even when the home team is losing, it's poor form for the band to start practicing before the game is over. Especially when they block the big screen image! Okay, the RNC. Leaving out for a moment my own political opinions, and just concentrating on basic drunken observations.
I dunno. Maybe I was drunk. But I swear it seemed like a farce to me. We also drunk texted a few people. Okay, that's all for now. But to cheer myself up, I give you this video. 5 comments | post a comment
Oddly, Twitter seems to be where I've posted anything of substance (i.e., not a poll) lately. Or maybe I just haven't posted anything of substance. I did get a new bra on Monday and it's comfy, if you happen to care about my breasts. So I forgot to post the last couple days of Twitters. Read at your own risk and san loss. ( Three days of mindless rambling. ) 2 comments | post a comment
Stop this one dead in it's tracks please. If you see the quotes in question, please, please let the source know they are satire. They seem to have taken on a life of their own. ( Total nonsense non-quotes from Palin )There's plenty about her to worry about without spreading nonsense quotes that make you look foolish. 2 comments | post a comment

I am still in love with the Rude Pundit. A warning: If you think for a minute that anything the Rude Pundit says is EVER safe for work, heaven help you when you have to enter the real world. post a comment
As Frederick Clarkson notes in a recent report on Talk To Action, the most disturbing of the dominionists have begun to pray for McCain's death. Why? Because that's how much they love Sarah Palin. McCain should be elected, and almost immediately die in office. That makes her the first theocratic (and likely the last of any ideology) President of the United States. ( Excerpt. ( Twitters for Monday 1 September. ) I will note that Well, that's not really true. I did discover I was just wearing a slightly too small band size on my bras, so I bought extenders for the ones I already have. Cheap solution! I remain a hard-to-find size, but eh. That's what online shopping is for. Jonathan Cainer tells me: Nostalgia isn't what it used to be! Once, we pined for the good old days. Now, each time we look back, we wonder whether we're embellishing, embroidering or weaving a cloth of self deception to disguise a truth we're keen to deny. And each time we look forward? Well, in these troubled times, none of us dare. Which leaves us with right now? Right here. What can be improved, not "one day" but quickly and practically, using what you have to hand or can easily get. The answer may yet please you. Vera goes to the vet Friday. I found a lump on her side. I suspect it's benign, because older dogs often get benign tumors, but I'd like to have it looked at. She's lost weight. 2 comments | post a comment
I rarely do friends cuts, but I removed some people who haven't posted in ages or only post a couple lines once in a while and give me no inkling of who they are or who have NEVER (srsly) posted. Because I post a lot of really personal stuff about myself and would rather have some idea of who has access to that information.
